In a recent study published by the American Association for Cancer Research conducted by Kangmin Zhu of the U.S. Military Cancer Institute in conjunction with the Walter Reed Army Medical Center titled 'Cancer Incidence in the U.S. Military Population: Comparison with Rates from the SEER Program, it was stated:
"...incidence rates of breast and prostate cancers were significantly higher in the military among Whites and Blacks. Incidence rates of testicular cancer did not differ..."
While the study concluded there is a need for more extensive research, the numbers showed heightened incidences in the military population with very few options readily accessible for Medical Nutrition specifically formulated for cancer patients.
