cab @CeMAT 2016: Label printing solutions for any application
Label & Print is one of the new leading trade shows at CeMAT. Also with cab it is all about labeling. In hall 13, booth E69, the long-established company from Karlsruhe/Germany presents thermal transfer printers and systems to print and apply on products and packaging in the industrial environment.
In hall 13, booth E69(firmenpresse) - “As an exhibitor we know CeMAT since the time when it was still part of the Hanover fair”, says Uwe Lüdemann, Sales Director Label Printing Systems. “To have the leading trade show Label & Print integrated is a sign of the growing importance of printing and marking technologies for manufacturers, traders and end-customers.”
Highly performant A+ and X series industrial printers
cab printers of the A+ and X series are designed to withstand operation in rough production environments all day and night, seven days a week. Presented on-site are the models A4+ (print width up to 105.6 millimeters) and A6+ (up to 168 millimeters). The XD4T printer has a drive roller installed next to the print head to process textile materials. It enables the textile material to be separated from the ribbon and furthermore improves the accuracy and precision in a print. What is special with the XD4T is its double-sided printing. In cab’s XC label printers two print units are arranged in-line. Two-color printing is possible, for example for hazardous substances. Thus, XC printers are suitable to meet the requirements according to GHS.
Print & apply – single-colored or two-colored
The Hermes C system solution for two-color printing and application of labels in real time has been developed along the lines of the successful XC printers series and the proven Hermes+ print and apply system. Due to the integrated backfeed system single labels are printed and applied on request without loss of labels. All shapes of packaging can be marked, for example cans, drums, buckets, cardboard or pallets. Both Hermes+ and Hermes C have been designed for industrial application. Different applicators and pads are available to apply the label on the product or packaging.
Small printers with great functionality
cab printers of the EOS series combine the functionalities of a solid industrial printer with maximum user comfort. This includes operating the device via touchscreen. EOS1 is able to process label rolls up to 155 millimeters, even 210 millimeters are possible in case of the EOS4. Already the compact EOS devices have features that go far beyond mere printing. For example the ability to work without being connected to a PC and network environment. The label design is done with a common label software on a PC, for example cablabel S3 developed by cab. Label formats, graphs and fonts are stored and read on a memory card, a USB stick or the internal IFFS data memory. Data from a barcode scanner or a scale can be integrated. In stand-alone mode, the cab printer does not need an additional computer to do this.
Besides, there are label dispensers with horizontal and vertical dispensing direction shown at cab’s booth E69 in hall 13. For use wherever products or packaging are locally labeled at manual workstations.
