Avella Announces Expansion and Relocation of Its Distribution Facility
(firmenpresse) - PHOENIX, AZ -- (Marketwired) -- 05/26/16 -- has announced it is undertaking a dramatic expansion of its operations through a relocation of its corporate headquarters and distribution facility near its current location in north Phoenix, Arizona. Avella will develop a new outsourcing clean room at this new location to expand its sterile compounding services.
This new facility will be substantially larger than the , allowing the organization to process 10,000 prescriptions per day. The expanded clean room capacity will further the growth in the variety and number of compounded products available for its patients and providers. The facility will be operational in Fall 2016.
This clean room will be part of the new 50,000-square-foot headquarters which will also house Avella's corporate departments, patient and provider services, and the company's pharmacy dispensing operations.
Avella already complies with the strict requirements for designated outsourcing facilities under 503B -- ensuring that it is meeting the highest standards for patient safety and quality. Avella was one of the first specialty pharmacies to voluntarily seek this designation. Avella's new clean room will allow for greater efficiency and standardization through an automation platform, planned for implementation later this year. This new facility will allow Avella to serve the increasing demand from hospital customers for advanced compounding services.
