With reference to the article about possible arrangements in Kesko's Russian
grocery trade published in the Russian Delovoi Peterburg newspaper on Monday,
30 May 2016:
Kesko is continuously looking into different alternatives in the implementation
of its strategy. In Russia, the company has decided to withdraw from the sports
equipment trade, like the company has announced earlier. The company develops
its Russian grocery trade further in accordance with the strategy. In the
strategic examination, all possible alternatives are considered. As one of the
alternatives, Kesko's representatives in Russia have also examined selling the
grocery trade operations, but the examination has not lead to negotiations.
