USU Software AG announces merger of SecurIntegration GmbH with USU subsidiary Aspera GmbH
(firmenpresse) - Möglingen, June 9, 2016. “Individually strong. Better together.” Aspera, the world’s leading provider of software license management, and SecurIntegration, well-established SAP license optimization specialist, will bundle their collective capabilities. The merger is retroactive to January 1, 2016. SecurIntegration was formerly a USU subsidiary SecurIntegration based in Cologne. Aspera GmbH, also a company of the USU Group, is based in Aachen.
The legal merger by way of entry in the commercial register is the logical culmination of the 2015 operational convergence between the companies. SecurIntegration GmbH, part of the USU Group since 2015, will continue uninterrupted at an operational level, retaining its employees in Cologne as the “SAP business unit”. Guido Schneider, renowned SAP license expert, will continue to serve as Managing Director of SecurIntegration, and lead the SAP business unit.
Aspera and SecurIntegration have been technically integrated for several years. By combining entities, global customers have access to a world-class solution portfolio from a single source, covering all facets of strategic software license management.
This merger meets the growing market demand for SAP license optimization, and enhances the existing partnership. In the future, customers will benefit by being able to procure systems from the two companies individually or combined.
“By merging the divisions under the Aspera name, we intend to further strengthen our market position in software license management, expand our presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as internationally, and leverage synergies as much as possible for our customers,” explains Olaf Diehl, Managing Director of Aspera GmbH.
Guido Schneider has successfully worked in IT consulting in connection with SAP solutions for more than two decades. Since 2001 he has led SecurIntegration GmbH as Managing Director, and is largely responsible for its impressive business accomplishments.
“Since the last amendment of the license conditions, almost all products that use SAP have to be licensed. Now offering the best of both worlds, customers can use any software and ensure their compliance. Aspera provides the solution to the crucial question of ‘indirect use’,” adds Guido Schneider.
