Royalty North Announces Appointment of Chairman
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/23/16 -- Royalty North Partners Ltd. (TSX VENTURE: RNP) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Nolan Watson has been elected as a Director of the Company at the annual shareholder meeting held earlier today. Immediately following the shareholder meeting, Mr. Watson was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Company. The Company would like to welcome Mr. Watson to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Watson is currently the President and CEO of Sandstorm Gold Ltd. (TSX: SSL)(NYSE MKT: SAND) and has helped to develop the royalty financing business model for over a decade. In that time he has raised more than $1.5 billion in capital to deploy into numerous royalty transactions.
Mr. Watson is a Chartered Professional Accountant (Valedictorian), holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and received a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with honours, from the University of British Columbia. He has won numerous awards for his professional and charitable achievements including the Early Achievement Award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, Canada's Top 40 Under 40 award, CEO of the Year by Business In Vancouver and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal.
