Dominique Boies Appointed RONA Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

(TSX: RON)(TSX: RON.PR.A), the largest Canadian distributor and retailer of hardware, renovation and gardening products, today announced the appointment of Dominique Boies to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. M. Boies will be a member of RONA's management committee, reporting directly to Robert Dutton, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation.
Dominique Boies holds a Master degree in Science (specializing in finance) from the Universite du Quebec a Montreal and has more than 15 years' experience in the business industry. He will be responsible for RONA's financial orientation and will be in charge of investor relations, accounting, financing, treasury and legal affairs. M. Boies will join RONA by the end of September. "Dominique has significant experience in financing and recognized leadership in the investment community. His in-depth knowledge of financial management will be a major asset on our executive team," Dutton said.
Over the past five years, M. Boies held various positions at the Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, including Senior Vice President of Investments, Corporate Debt and Investment Funds groups. He also worked for 11 years at Royal Bank of Canada, where he held several high-ranking positions, including Vice President for Strategic Planning and General Manager of the Capital Markets group. His ability to assess key risks, combined with his strategic management experience and in-depth knowledge of business issues, will effectively round out the expertise of the RONA management committee.
