Veidekke ASA: To build new Revetal secondary school

Veidekke Entreprenør has entered into a contract with Re municipality to build
the new Revetal secondary school that will accommodate 450 pupils in Re
municipality in Vestfold. This is a turnkey contract valued at NOK 145 million,
excluding VAT.
"Veidekke has built a number of public and private buildings at Revetal, and we
are pleased and proud to have won the demanding competition for this school
building. It's important to Veidekke to build projects in different categories,
and our extensive experience with school projects contributed to us winning,"
says Lars N. Hjertås, district manager of Veidekke Entreprenør in Telemark/
Vestfold.
The contract was signed following a concluded collaborative stage. Re
municipality has developed a good and coordinated plan for the process, which
meant that permission to commence was provided more or less the same day that
the municipal council decided to award Veidekke the contract. The school will be
ready for the start of the 2017/2018 school year.
