http://bigrockresources.com) is pleased to announce an update on the Lucky
Thirteen Precious Metals Property Initial Production and Bulk Sampling
Program. The equipment testing phase is now complete and the Company is
now producing concentrates containing Gold and Platinum metals from the
property. The program is now fully underway with a large volume of black
sand concentrate containing gold and platinum group metals being recovered
by the test plant.
The recovery equipment has been designed not only to recover a very large
portion of the Gold contained on the property but to recover a large
portion of the Platinum Metals that previous sampling has discovered along
with the Gold on the property. Reports from earlier evaluation and
operation indicates the gravels on the bar may contain mineable gold grades
of approximately .05 ounces per cubic yard. Reports from earlier
evaluation indicate that there were between 250,000 to 444,000 ounces of
gold on the property.
Mr. Van Boeyen, the Company's President reports that the size and scale of
the evaluation program is quite impressive. The equipment is working as
designed, and has been fine tuned to maximize the recovery of the black
sand concentrate which contains the gold and possibly platinum group
metals.
The Company is excited with the project now in the initial production stage
especially with the price of gold approaching $1,800 per ounce. The
recovery of concentrate being realized from the test plant exceeds the
Company's initial expectations.
The company will review the results, analyses and other data as received
and will release overviews to its shareholders in an orderly fashion.
About the Lucky 13 Gold Placer Claim
The Lucky Thirteen Placer Claim, near Hope, BC, is 168 ha (415 acres) in
size. The claim is staked is on the historic Union gravel Bar, located on
the north bank of the Fraser River. The targeted deposit covers an area of
approximately 50 ha (124 acres) of the entire placer claim. Assuming
results as expected, the Joint Venture plans to initiate mining operations
as soon as all necessary approvals and equipment are acquired. Big Rock
Resources Ltd. has agreed to fund the initial evaluation program for
$400,000 USD, and provide funding up to $8.5 million USD to place the
property in full production.
