Constant Korthout nominated as a member of the Board of Managing Directors of Van Lanschot

The Supervisory Board of Van Lanschot NV intends to appoint Mr C.T.L. (Constant)
Korthout (47) as Chief Financial Officer/Chief Risk Officer and member of the
Board of Managing Directors of Van Lanschot NV / F. van Lanschot Bankiers NV.
The announcement of Mr Korthout's appointment will be included on the agenda of
an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of to be held as soon as
possible.
As Chief Financial Officer/Chief Risk Officer at Van Lanschot, Constant Korthout
will be responsible for managing the Finance & Control, Risk management and
Treasury activities of the bank. His previous position was at Robeco, where he
has been Chief Financial Officer since 2002.
The Supervisory Board intends to appoint Constant Korthout as a member of the
Board of Managing Directors for a period of four years. De Nederlandsche Bank
(the Dutch Central Bank) has given its approval for this intended appointment.
His employment contract will be concluded for an indefinite period.
The employment contract will include a clause concerning severance pay which
will comply with the provisions of the Dutch Corporate Governance Code and the
Code for Banks. The employment contract is in line with the remuneration policy
for members of the Board of Managing Directors that was approved by shareholders
at the General Meeting of Shareholders held on 6 May 2010.
Following the appointment of Constant Korthout to the Board of Managing
Directors of Van Lanschot NV / F. van Lanschot Bankiers NV, the Board of
Managing Directors will comprise the following members:
- F.G.H. (Floris) Deckers, chairman
- A.J. (Arjan) Huisman
- C.T.L. (Constant) Korthout
- I.A. (Ieko) Sevinga
Curriculum vitae Constant Korthout
Constant Korthout was born on 22 October 1962 in Delft, the Netherlands. After
graduating in Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, he started his
career as a group management trainee at the former ABN Bank, followed by a
number of years as senior account manager for corporate clients at the bank.
After five years he moved to KPMG Management Consultants where he worked as
Financial Management Consultant for two years. In 1992 he joined Robeco,
starting as Group Controller, and subsequently holding the positions of Chief
Financial Officer and member of the Executive Board of Weiss, Peck & Greer in
New York, and then Corporate Development director. He was appointed Chief
Financial Officer of Robeco Group in 2002. In this position his responsibilities
included Risk Management, Treasury and Corporate Development.
Constant Korthout is married with three children.
