KALON Botanicals growing through crowdfunding
A crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo has been launched to help KALON Botanicals expand into a competitive skin and body care company while still being able to maintain quality and ethical practices. The funding goal is to reach $20,000 by September 4th, in order to cover the cost of expansion, business expenses, and production. Many of KALON’s products are available through Indiegogo and there are 12 tiers of perk “rewards” for campaign backers.
Three friends come together to provide handcrafted, thoughtful holistic skincare.
KALON, which means "beautiful thing" in the Ancient Greek lexicon, is a long-distance collaboration between three friends living between Atlanta, Connecticut, and Brooklyn. KALON Botanicals constantly aims to provide all people with the best in holistic skincare. Products are formulated with the whole person and the whole of nature in mind by carefully choosing natural botanical ingredients and sourcing materials from companies that have similar ethical standards of fairness, transparency, and sustainability. KALON works as a team to create the best combinations of essential oils and natural ingredients while striving for simplicity. Products perform the best at the task they’re given: to clear up, cleanse, enrich, heal, and hydrate in the simplest and most natural fashion.
Inclusive Indiegogo offers
For this campaign, KALON is offering exclusive samples and product sets that are paired together to encourage a development of skincare regiments for the individual. Exclusive and new products are also being formulated specifically for Indiegogo, such as aromatic bath salts, and KALON tote bags and hand dyed muslin bags. For the largest contributor, KALON is offering a complete aromatherapeutic consultation for the body and home, meeting with the contributor to craft a specific skincare regiment, as well as aromatherapy and design for the home.
