ÅF acquires Sjöland&Thyselius

ÅF has acquired 100% of the shares in the defence and technical management
consultancy Sjöland&Thyselius. The acquisition further strengthens ÅF's position
in the defence industry, but also in the automotive, telecom and civil safety
and security sectors.
"Sjöland&Thyselius is well-established with highly-skilled consultants,
particularly in the Swedish defence industry. They will complement and
strengthen our own defence organisation, especially through specialist knowledge
in aerospace and simulators, but their technical management services in the
automotive and civil safety and security sectors are also welcome additions.
Together we will be able to create new and innovative solutions for our
customers", says Viktor Svensson, President Technology Division ÅF.
Net sales in 2015/2016 (split financial year) were SEK 78 million. The company
has 50 employees who offer high quality services that include training systems,
modelling and simulation, advanced communication systems, on-line vehicles and
technical management services. Customers are mainly in defence,
telecommunications, the automotive industry and civil safety and security. The
company has offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

Sjöland&Thyselius was consolidated as per 1 September 2016 and is part of ÅF's
Technology Division.
