Vanarama’s 2016 Van Hero competition will be decided soon. So which lucky courier driver will win £5,000 cash prize or a free, three-year van hire?

(firmenpresse) - Vanarama, one of the country’s biggest van leasing companies, with over 53 locations spread across the UK, is gearing up for the finals of its Van Hero 2016 competition this coming October. If you’re a courier driver or run a courier business, then you could win a cash prize of £5,000 or a free, three-year van hire. If you didn’t apply before entries closed on the 30th of June, there’s always next year!

The competition provides a way for people to recognise and reward their favourite local van or delivery driver. It doesn’t matter what their business area is – courier driver, builder or caterer, farmer or builder. The competition is open for all van drivers and van companies and drivers. Companies can even nominate themselves.

National and Regional Competitions
Apart from their national competition with its huge prizes, Vanarama also runs 11 regional competitions – Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, North West, North East, Yorkshire, East Midlands, West Midlands, South East, London and East Anglia. Each of the regional events, with their own prizes, are the run-up for the final selection of the National Van Hero in October.

Vanarama offers the independent courier driver or courier companies a comprehensive range of van hire, leasing and maintenance programs. It’s all designed to make it easier for the courier driver or company to choose the best van for their needs and then the programme that gives them the greatest ROI. Supporting the Community

As well as the Van Hero competition, Vanarama is also active in supporting local communities. The company encourages its employees to get involved in local and national charities and donates £10 for every vehicle sold. The company’s goal for 2016 is to raise £50,000 and they are well on the way to achieving this.

Amongst the charities and organisations that the company helps are the Hertfordshire based charities, the Hospice of St. Francis and DENS, the Battersea Dogs Home, and Prostate Cancer UK.

The company has recently raised funds for the Help for Heroes fund as part of Armed Forces Week. A team from Vanarama took part in the London to Brighton Cycling race in June and the company also provided DENS with a new van and a £10,000 donation to help the organisation continue its work.

The humble courier driver performs a vital task in getting “stuff” from place to place. They are a vital link in the nation’s logistics network – without them, there would be disastrous consequences for businesses everywhere.

That’s why this competition is so important and it gives the public and clients a unique opportunity to thank drivers for outstanding work and service.

Entries for the 2016 competition closed in June – but 2017 is just around the corner.
