Ahold share buyback update

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, December 6, 2010 - Ahold has repurchased 968,131
Ahold common shares in the period from November, 29, 2010 up to and including
December 3, 2010. The shares were repurchased at an average price of ? 9.3612
per share for a total consideration of ? 9.06 million. These repurchases were
made as part of the ? 500 million share buyback program announced on March
4, 2010.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is
35,106,546 common shares for a total consideration of ? 350.9 million.
