Horgen, December 17, 2010 - Schweiter Technologies AG announces changes to the
Board of Directors. Dr. Hans Widmer, born 1940, is retiring from the Board of
Directors in May 2011 after 25 years.
The Board of Directors will propose to the Annual General Meeting on May
12, 2011 that Dr. Lukas Braunschweiler, born 1956, CEO of the RUAG Group, be
elected to the Board of Directors as a new member. Discussions are being held
with further candidates.
Current Board member Beat Siegrist, born 1960, is to be elected new Chairman. He
was Group CEO until mid-2008 and following the sale of Schweiter's optics
division to Essilor moved to the latter company's Executive Committee. Dr. Heinz
Baumgartner will remain CEO of Schweiter Technologies.
