IBt Bebig appoints Abel Luzuriaga as new Vice President Sales

Seneffe - Belgium, January 4, 2011, IBt Bebig (Reuters: IBTH.BR - Bloomberg:
IBTB BB) has announced today that it has appointed Abel Luzuriaga (German -
Ecuadorian nationality, age 49) as its new Vice President Sales.
In his functions, Abel Luzuriaga will oversee the growth, expansion and
development of the international sales organization, including the supervision
of the offices in France, Italy, Spain, UK and India, and he will be responsible
for all distributors around the world. Mr. Luzuriaga is based in the Head office
in Seneffe and will report directly to Dr. Edgar Löffler, Managing Director.
He will also join the newly formed Management Team that will concentrate its
efforts on the development of IBt Bebig, with a clear view to create a true
international Group that has a strong ambition to become a world leader in
Brachytherapy. As the Group looks towards its future development and growth with
clear optimism and a strong ambition to continue growing both organically and
externally, the need to have a strong international team of key Executives
around the Managing Directors is a must.

Prior to joining IBt Bebig, Abel Luzuriaga served for 10 years at Theranostic
Medizintechnik GmbH, the German subsidiary of Nucletron B.V., a company active
in High Dose Rate Brachytherapy, where he was Managing Director. Additionally he
became in 2007 Director of Sales EMEA for Nucletron B.V. in The Netherlands and
later on Director of Sales EEMEA (Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and
Africa) for Nucletron B.V.too. Before his time at Nucletron - Theranostic, he
was working in an international environment for industrial companies (Asea Brown
Boveri AG and Dainippon Screen GmbH) and was holding different management
positions. Abel Luzuriaga holds an engineering degree from the Technical
University of Darmstadt, Germany.
