SECOND FISHING SEASON SUSPENDED

Reference is made to the announcement from Copeinca ASA dated 21 December 2010
regarding the second fishing season 2010.
On 17 January, PRODUCE, the Peruvian Ministry of Production's Fishing Vice
Ministry, the entity that executes and directs the sector's policies to
guarantee the rational management of fishing resources and preservation of the
environment, issued resolution 011 suspending the second fishing season for the
center - north area of Peru (North of 16(th) parallel) on Tuesday January
18(th) at 0:00.
The maximum allowable catch limit of anchovy for indirect human consumption for
the second fishing season was 2,070,000 MT.
"It is noteworthy that during the second fishing season there has been a high
level of juvenile catch therefore this suspension is an adequate measure taken
by PRODUCE as it ensures the sustainability of the biomass. As of 18 January,
Copeinca has caught around 27% of its quota, and the industry as a whole 36% of
