Heijmans part of the De Egelantier Residential Services Centre building team

The City of Hilversum housing corporation, Dudok Wonen, has selected Heijmans
Residential Building to realize the construction of the De Egelantier
Residential Services Centre in Hilversum as a member of a building team.
Heijmans was selected not only based on price, but on quality and planning as
well. The total project is valued at ? 24 million.
The De Egelantier consists of 42 sheltered flats, 36 group homes, 101 sheltered
homes, a 1,400 m(2) facilities centre and an underground parking garage. The
project will be executed in two phases following the phased demolition of the
existing building.
Within the building team, Heijmans will assume responsibility for the
engineering, the budget and the planning of this project. Heijmans will also
apply its BIM expertise. BIM, or Building Information Model, is a 3D design tool
used by the architect to design the De Egelantier.
Construction will commence around 15 June 2011. The delivery of Phase 1 is
scheduled for the end of 2012 and the delivery of Phase 2 for around mid 2014.
