MEMOLOOP FOCUSES ON EVERYDAY HEROES – „GOOD DEEDS
Cologne / Bonn, Jan. 21, 2008 – memoloop, the new and first social community concept connecting users via shared memories, is focussing on small and big everyday heroes. Do you have an idea for an aid project? Are you looking for like minded supporters? Do you want to share your thoughts on already successfully running projects? memoloop users are called to post memos about their own good deeds or the projects of others.
(firmenpresse) - After the very successful „End-of-the-Year Review“-campaign, the „Good Deeds“-project marks the next step of directly approaching the memoloop users. Additional projects are currently being devised.
Florian Wagner, initiator of memoloop: „Good deeds can develop an immense force through the viral factor of the internet. We are happy to make the voices of the people who want to make difference heard via memoloop and to shed light on their projects.”
memoloop is a new community concept which allows its members to upload and organize memos (complete with text, pictures and videos) of their past, creating a world map of personal recollections. Users can also create and connect through groups dealing with different topics. Memos referring to an identical place, time or event are automatically connected, with the users being informed immediately about the match. memoloop’s goal: to connect time, place and the people who met at a certain crossroad in their lives or who could have met but didn’t. memoloopers post their past, meet old or new friends and like-minded people. After connecting people through pictures, videos, knowledge, or music memoloop is offering a new dimension of connecting with the world.
Florian Wagner, a fomer manager of Gruner + Jahr and the Verlagsgruppe Holtzbrinck, is chairman of Licennium GmbH, a strategy agency focusing on brands and media in Cologne, Germany. He came up with the idea to memoloop in November 2006.
Co-founder Carsten Pasternack is an independent consultant for online marketing, data bases and CMS. Pasternack works online from Berlin and Barcelona.
