The new residual current monitoring system RCMS150

(PresseBox) - The new six-channel residual current monitoring system RCMS150 was developed for final circuit applications that provide little space and nevertheless require AC/DC sensitive (type B) monitoring.
Of particular note is its compact design, since the evaluator and six measuring current transformers form a single unit. One of the advantages is that just one supply is required. The RCMS150 can be easily installed in standard distribution panels by DIN rail mounting or screw mounting. The six measuring current transformers are pre-wired and pre-configured in the evaluator. This saves space and time and eliminates other sources of faults.
With the RCMS150, residual currents of 0 to 2,000 Hz and 0 to 300 mA can be measured and evaluated during operation. For each measuring current transformer four separately adjustable response values can be set (for prewarning and alarm, r.m.s. and DC). The measuring current transformers are completely shielded to avoid the influence of magnetic fields.
The information exchange between the individual type of RCMS150 and a gateway is carried out via an RS-485 interface. This means that a complete building or a complete supply section can be permanently monitored from a central point such as a control cabinet or a control room. The RCMS150 therefore fulfils the requirements of the IEC 60364-6 regarding periodic verification.
Unlike traditional insulation measurement, the RCMS150 offers permanent monitoring of the system and the option to monitor not only cables but also the "main culprits" in any electrical installation ? the loads.
Benefits at a glance:
AC/DC current sensitive
Compact design
Simple installation
Cost effective
Can be easily configured via gateway
Continuous monitoring by means of periodic verification
