Edvantage group integrates Learning Gateway with Skillsoft's Open Learning Services Architecture

Oslo, 10 February 2011 - Edvantage group announces that it has integrated
Learning Gateway, Europe's leading SaaS-based learning management system (LMS)
with SkillSoft e-learning solutions, using open learning services architecture
(OLSA). The integration improves Edvantage group's ability to deliver
SkillSoft's extensive library of e-learning courses, simulations, job-
performance aids and other learning resources using the Learning Gateway.
Corporate learning and development teams in all size organisations benefit from
faster, easier access to the SkillSoft's large portfolio of on-demand content.
The new OLSA integration, based on Web-Services, automates the first time
installation and updating of SkillSoft hosted content. The goal of OLSA, short
for "Open Learning Services Architecture" is to simplify and enhance deployment
of SkillSoft's various offerings through a customer's platform of choice with a
set of Web services. Both new courses and updates to existing courses are
available with Learning Gateway version 5.6 , providing users with enhanced on-
demand learning experiences..
