PROS - Prospector Offshore Drilling S.A. announces approval of the listing prospectus and first day of trading on the Oslo Axess

Luxembourg, 17 February 2011 - Further to the announcement by Oslo Børs on 19
January 2011 regarding the approval of the listing of Prospector Offshore
Drilling S.A. (the "Company") on the Oslo Axess, the Company is announcing that
it has met all the requirements for listing set out therein. The Company's
listing prospectus was approved by the Luxembourg Commission de Surveillance du
Secteur Financier (the "CSSF") on February 16, 2011, and with this approval all
conditions stipulated by the Oslo Børs are now fulfilled. The listing
prospectus will be passported into Norway by notification from the CSSF to the
Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway in compliance with the regulation of
the Prospectus Directive.
Bill Rose, Chief Executive Officer of the Company says "This listing on the Oslo
Axess fulfils a commitment we made to our initial investors, to provide them
with a high quality regulated market for their shares in the Company. We thank
both the Oslo Børs and our professional service providers and bankers for their
support in this listing, which we expect to form the basis for the further
development and growth of the Company."
The Company expects the first trading day on Oslo Axess to be on Monday February
21, 2011. From the same time the registration on the NOTC list operated by the
Norwegian Dealers Association will cease.
The Company has retained Carnegie ASA, NRP Securities ASA and Pareto Securities
AS as managers (the "Managers") in connection with the listing process.
