2016? Success for Cevotec
Cevotec successfully completes the year 2016 and eagerly awaits the launch of SAMBA and ARTIST STUDIO in March 2017
(PresseBox) - Day of German Industry, WECONOMY, JEC Asia, ADeKo Conference, Asia Pacific Innovation Summit, Composite Europe - founding initiatives and expert committees show the greatest interest in the Cevotec patch technology. The demonstration of the production system SAMBA and the launch of the ARTIST STUDIO CAD-CAM software at JEC World 2017 in Paris are eagerly awaited.
"The fourth quarter of 2016 was a very good preparation for the big event JEC World 2017," Thorsten Gröne, Cevotec's CEO, concludes. In October, the Munich-based company was selected as one of five start-ups to present itself on the Day of German Industry. "We are very proud that we were able to participate in this top event and discuss with top managers of the German economy," says Gröne. Other German composite board members, such as Wilfried Porth from Daimler AG, the composite specialists from Cevotec also met at the kickoff weekend of the start-up initiative WECONOMY. The fully automated Fiber Patch Placement production system for complex carbon components convinced the jury. As one of ten teams, Cevotec was awarded with a one-year coaching program.
Business model and Fiber Patch Placement (FPP) technology also convinced the Starburst startup supporters. The Number One Accelerator now is, after Paris, Los Angeles and Singapore, also represented in Munich. ?Starburst is the first and most prominent accelerator for start-ups in the aviation sector," comments Gröne. "At the same time, the aviation industry is the largest composite user industry. We are therefore very pleased to have Starburst as the perfect partner to establish Fiber Patch Placement technology in this industry sector. "
Interesting perspectives also arose during the ADeKo conference in Dresden, where Cevotec presented the current developments in Fiber Patch Placement technology to the Saxon Prime Minister and the German and Korean conference participants. The Cevotec management was also delighted to receive invitations to JEC Asia in Singapore and the Asia Pacific Innovation Summit in Hong Kong. "Especially these invitations show the strong interest worldwide in patch technology and the upcoming product launch," says Gröne. "Especially in Asia, there is great application potential for Fiber Patch Placement."
Adding to a successful 2016 was the participation in Composites Europe. "Visitors really had to queue to see the new Cevotec system in a VR environment", reports Gröne. Even BMWi Minister of State, Iris Gleike, took a glance into the virtual environment.
"We see that the interest in innovative patch-based production solutions for complex components in the market is very high,? recaps Gröne. ?We are now looking forward to the official product release at JEC World 2017.? In Paris, the production system SAMBA along with the perfectly matching CAD-CAM software platform ARTIST STUDIO will be presented in live demonstrations. Appointments will be accepted from now on.
