Columbus Announces Closing of Bought Deal Offering

(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 02/15/17 -- Columbus Gold Corp. (TSX: CGT)(OTCQX: CBGDF) ("Columbus") is pleased to announce that it has closed its previously announced bought deal offering of 8,000,000 common shares (the "Shares") of Columbus at a price of $0.63 per Share for gross proceeds to Columbus of $5,040,000 (the "Offering"). The Offering was completed pursuant to an underwriting agreement dated January 24, 2017 between Columbus and Beacon Securities Limited (the "Underwriter"). The Shares were offered by way of a short form prospectus filed in each of the provinces of Canada, except Quebec. In connection with the Offering, Columbus paid a commission equal to 6% of the gross proceeds of the Offering and issued to the Underwriter 480,000 compensation options, equal to 6% of the Shares sold under the Offering.

The proceeds of the Offering will be used to carry out an exploration drilling program at Columbus' Montagne d'Or gold project in French Guiana, and for working capital and general corporate purposes.
