This is what you can expect at the fantastic Snowboxx festival in Portes du Soleil, Avoriaz, which runs for an entire week at the end of March 2017. It is home to the famous Swiss Wall run, which many avid skiers are desperate to tick off their list. Freestylers will be in heaven here, with five world-class snowparks and a super-pipe to conquer. Burton Stash Park is a remarkably creative and organic snowpark with a host of cool features, transitions, gaps and natural jibs – just hanging around this area is a great experience.
Elsewhere, there many other activities to keep you entertained/get rid of your hangover. Paintball fights, snowball fights, hot air ballooning, canyoning and helicopter rides are just a few ways to have a laugh, meet new friends and soak up the incredible atmosphere at Snowboxx.

The real fun at Snowboxx starts once the moon appears from behind the mountains. Many of Europe’s top club brands have been enlisted to transform the region into an epic party. Expect people dancing in every direction to the pulsating tunes on a blanket of snow under the stars. This is all surrounded by food stalls, lively bars and clubs to create an electric, fun and carefree atmosphere.
With two stages, five après terrace parties and a handful of local clubs, there is always fun to be had and you have plenty of options each night. The music is incredibly diverse, so all tastes are well catered for. The line-up is looking terrific so far, with legendary English electronic duo Basement Jaxx set to headline with a DJ set. Other confirmed artists include Wilkinson, Hannah Wants, High Contrast, Bicep and DJ Luck & MC Neat.
Away from the main stages, every club will feature DJs playing a wide mix of music with amazing light shows, plus be sure to check out the late night igloo parties – big name DJs playing within a colourful igloo which will be unlike any party you have been to before.
