Thomson Reuters furthers its commitment to business development in Brazil
NEW YORK, March 18, 2011- Thomson Reuters (NYSE, TSX: TRI), the world's leading
source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, today
announced that it is joining the Brazil - U.S. Business Council. Thomson
Reuters membership on the Council furthers the company's ongoing commitment to
and investment in Brazil.

As part of efforts to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities, Mr.
Smith will travel to Brazil to join the Council at the U.S. - Brazil Business
Summit featuring President Barack Obama, to be held in Brasilia on March 19.

businesses. In May 2010, the company expanded its presence in Brazil through

The Brazil - U.S. Business Council is a private sector organization focused on
promoting the free flow of trade and investment between Brazil and the United
States. Established in 1976, the Council was created to foster understanding and
advance business priorities between the two nations. The U.S. Section of the
Council represents the majority of the largest U.S. corporations invested in
Brazil and works collaboratively with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Brazil
