Dannemora Mineral and Salzgitter conclude long-term supply contract
Dannemora Mineral has entered into a five-year off-take agreement with
Salzgitter Flachstahl for annual deliveries of up to 300,000 tonnes of iron ore.
The deliveries are scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2012.
Salzgitter AG is a publicly listed German group with several steel plants in
Northern Germany. The Dannemora ore will be delivered to Salzgitter Flachstahl
GmbH, which has 4,300 employees and an annual production of 3.3 million tonnes
of crude steel. The company's main product, flat-rolled steel, is supplied
mainly to the vehicle industry. Salzgitter Flachstahl has an annual turnover of
EUR 1.8 billion.
