USG People announces acquisition of Swiss staffing organisation
Almere, 29 March 2011 - USG People announces that it recently acquired 100% of
the shares in Lausanne-based staffing organisation Uniman SA. Founded in August
2005, Uniman is active in specialist staffing and recruitment of qualified
personnel for the industrial, construction and commercial sectors. The owners
and current management of Uniman will remain with USG People and take up key
management positions in both Switzerland and Italy.
USG People COO Eric de Jong said: "This acquisition is a fine addition to our
staffing activities in Switzerland and is in line with USG People's strategy to
invest in specialist high-end staffing. It creates an even larger base for the
expansion of our activities in the Geneva area, the second largest economic
region in Switzerland. Uniman generates turnover of ? 10 million and has a
strong operating margin. It is therefore a valuable asset to our Swiss
activities."
The Swiss activities of USG People reported a turnover of ? 28 million in 2010
and now operates eleven branches in four of the five largest cities in the
country.
The acquisition was paid for in cash and financed from our own resources.
