Heijmans to construct 'Noordzee Résidence Cadzand-Bad' holiday resort

's-Hertogenbosch - The development company Cavelot sur Mer B.V., a joint venture
between Roompot Recreatie Beheer B.V. and Bouwfonds Ontwikkeling, has selected
Heijmans Residential Building to build the new Noordzee Résidence Cadzand-Bad
seaside resort, as a member of a building team. On April 15th 2011, the parties
signed a building contract valued at approximately ? 55 million.
Noordzee Résidence Cadzand-Bad, which will rise up on the shores of Zeeland
Flanders in the Province of Zeeland, will be a high-quality seaside resort with
the allure and atmosphere of the authentic seaside resorts. The seaside resort
will consist of 450 holiday homes with a central facility, in a carefully
designed dune setting. Arcus Projectontwikkeling is responsible for the design
and development of the homes.
The project will be phased, and implemented at a high building pace. The 2012
and 2013 completion dates are scheduled such that they fit in with the holiday
periods. This means that the holiday homes can be rented out immediately.
The work will be carried out by Heijmans Residential Building Region South and
Heijmans Building Zeeland. As a result, local market knowledge and employment
opportunities in the Province of Zeeland are aspects that are well-anchored
within the project. Both Heijmans business units have a great deal of experience
with the implementation of recreational projects.
