BayfieldExpands Rainy River Drill Program by an Additional 50,000 Metres
Vancouver, BC - Bayfield Ventures Corp. (TSX-V: BYV) (FWB: B4N) (the "Company")
is pleased to announce the expansion of its Rainy River drill program by an
additional 50,000 metres on its 100% owned Rainy River properties in the Rainy
River District of north-western Ontario. The Company's Burns Block is situated
immediately to the east and on strike to Rainy River Resources' (TSX-V: RR) gold
project.

Bayfield has drilled approximately 33,000 metres of the initially planned
50,000 metre drill program which commenced in May 2010. The Company recently
raised an additional $5.5 million and is well funded with $11 million in its
treasury to double the planned drilling to 100,000 metres. Bayfield has
contracted a third diamond drill rig which will be mobilized to the Company's
Burns Block in early May.
The Company remains focused on two complimentary exploration efforts on the
Burns project including delineation of the high grade zones in the west portion
of the property (36 g/t Au over 10m in hole RR10-18, 31.7 g/t Au over 3m in
RR10-15, and 6.75 g/t Au and 211.07 g/t Ag over 3m in a new discovery zone in
RR11-14) as well as the eastward exploration towards the central portion of the
block. The drilling is progressing very well and has yielded impressive results
thus far as Bayfield continues to define the eastward extension of Rainy River's
main ODM17 gold zone. The bulk of the drilling on the Burns Block has been
focused in the western 200 metres of the property leaving 600 metres of highly
prospective strike length to be explored.
Additionally, Bayfield plans to drill a series of exploration holes on its large
and virtually unexplored "C" Block property which lies on the westward extension
of the volcanic belt that hosts the known gold-silver deposits in the district.
This drilling will be done in winter 2011 and 2012 as ground conditions in
summer are too wet to allow efficient drill exploration.
