First quarter, January 1 - March 31, 2011

* Consolidated net sales amounted to SEK 579 M (647), a decrease of 10%
compared with the same period in 2010.
* Operating loss in the Group amounted to SEK 19 M (4). Loss before tax was
SEK 31 M (+18).
* Loss for the period amounted to SEK 18 M (+49). Earnings per share
attributable to owners of the parent amounted to SEK 0.02 (0.48) before and
after dilution.
* The ICA Group's net sales decreased by 3.7% compared with the previous year.
Operating profit decreased to SEK 490 M (620), -21.0%.

Significant events after the end of the period

* In April 2011, Hakon Invest subscribed for its share, 68.5%, amounting to
SEK 225 M in the preferential rights issue in Hemtex.
* ICA announced that President Kenneth Bengtsson will leave ICA in 2012.
* Hemtex's President Erik Gumabon is leaving the company and Peder Larsson
takes over as acting President.
