THIN - Disclosure of large shareholdings

Thin Film Electronics ASA ("Thinfilm") issues this notice on behalf of Simpson
Financial Limited ("SFL") and ASAH AS.
At the annual general meeting of Thin Film Electronics ASA ("Thinfilm"), 10 May
2011, it was resolved to issue two warrants for each share issued to a
subscriber in the private placement in October 2010.
A total of 6,000,000 warrants were issued to SFL. Following this transaction,
SFL will hold 27,463,864 shares and 6,000,000 warrants, corresponding to 11.94
per cent of the current registered share capital of the company.
A total of 2,600,000 warrants were issued to ASAH AS. Following this
transaction, ASAH AS will hold 25,900,000 shares and 2,600,000 warrants,
corresponding to 10.17 per cent of the current registered share capital of the
company.
