Aker Solutions secures chlorine dioxide project in China
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - 3 September 2009 - Aker Solutions has signed a contract with ShandongChenming Paper Holdings Ltd. for the supply of technology,engineering, equipment and site construction support services for anintegrated chlorine dioxide plant to be installed for ZhanjiangChenming Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shandong ChenmingPaper. The new plant will be located at the company's greenfield pulpand paper mill in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, Peoples' Republic ofChina - home to a 700,000 tonnes per annum bleached hardwood kraftpulp mill and the world's largest fine-paper production line.Aker Solutions' integrated chlorine dioxide technology andproprietary sodium chlorate electrolysers offer a proven low costmethod of producing high purity chlorine dioxide in situ.
