lists on TSX Venture Exchange. The predecessor company had a long history on the
OTCBB, where it traded by appointment, prior to being acquired by Rick Mark's
North Shore Mining Group, joining VMS Ventures (TSXV:VMS), Harvest Gold
(TSXV:HVG), and Pancontinental Uranium (TSXV:PUC).

North American Nickel recently closed a non-brokered private placement for
11,000,000 units at $0.20 per unit, and another 4,545,463 flow-through units at
a price of $0.22 per unit, raising approximately $3.2 million. Each unit was
comprised of one common share and one share purchase warrant. Each warrant is
valid for 18 months, subject to earlier expiry on the occurrence of a "Trigger
Event", and entitles the owner to purchase one additional share at $0.35 per
share.
VMS Ventures subscribed to $1,005,000 worth of the $0.20 units, and now owns
21,825,000 shares, along with 5,025,000 warrants.
North American Nickel, as its name suggests, will focus on nickel, which, by the
way, was the second best performer on the London Metal Exchange last year,
gaining 34%, on the back of strong demand from China.
The company has already acquired properties in the Sudbury Mining Camp in
Ontario, and the Thompson Nickel Belt in Manitoba, two of the world's most
prolific nickel production areas in the world. The company is initially focusing
on its two Sudbury properties, the Post Creek Property and the Bell Lake
Property.
The Post Creek project is located 35 kilometres east of Sudbury and consists of
35 contiguous unpatented mining claims, and one isolated claim covering an area
of 688 hectares. The property is strategically located adjacent to the producing
Podolsky copper-nickel-platinum group metal deposit of QuadraFNX Mining and lies
along the extension of the Whistle Offset Dyke Structure. This structure hosted
the former INCO Whistle Offset copper-nickel-PGM Mine.
In 2010, analytical data, geological maps and historic geophysical information
were compiled by Dr. Walter Peredery to form the basis for a NI 43-101 technical
report which was submitted to the TSX Venture Exchange as part of the listing
requirements.
One of the chip samples collected from the Post Creek property showed 15%
copper, 29 grams per tonne gold, and 18.7 grams per tonne silver.
The 256 acre Bell Lake property covers approximately 1 kilometre of the Mystery
Offset Dyke. It is interpreted to be an extension of the Worthington Offset Dyke
which is a 10 - 11 kilometre long mineralized structure that extends from the
southwest margin of the Sudbury Igneous Complex. Offset Dyke environments are
significant hosts to nickel-copper-PGM mineralization in the Sudbury Basin.
