Early release of Safe Concordia
(Thomson Reuters ONE) - The current short-term contract for the Safe Concordia withInterpetroleum/Pemex is now to be completed early October 2009instead of end December 2009 as previously planned.If no new work is contracted in the period, this will reduce theexpected revenue by circa USD 6.6 million. Safe Concordia has beencontracted under a direct assignment, special funding arrangementwith Pemex whereas all the other Pemex contracts using Prosafevessels are on fixed budget funding.Safe Concordia is a versatile DP2 vessel, and is very competitive forcertain offshore projects that are under planning/development.Multiple tenders for short and long-term contracts are expected to bereceived within the next few months.
