Beaches and Booze in Zadar

Ledana Lounge Bar
It’s easy to ‘chill out’ at the Ledana Lounge Bar with its ‘icy’ interior of cool blue mosaics. The bar hosts live music events, DJs and huge themed parties across its three shaded terraces. There are plenty of cosy seating areas where you can retreat from the sun during the day, or relax during those long summer nights.
The Garden
If you go to no other bar in Zadar, make sure you go to The Garden. Set up by fellow Brits, UB40 drummer James Brown and music producer Nick Colgan, The Garden is everything you want from a Mediterranean bar.
Lounge around on the outdoor sofas and play backgammon by day, then party all night on the massive terrace to a mixture of big name DJs and live music acts. The atmosphere here is one of a non-stop, laidback party with great cocktails and good, cheap local and Belgium beers. Just what you want on a beach and booze holiday!
Djina
If you want to know where the hip, urban Zadar crowd gather, then head to Djina off the city’s main square. During the day this is a café and gallery space, but at night the music is turned up and the crowd changes to more of a sophisticated party one. It can get pretty busy and crowded here at night but there are a few seats that spill out onto the narrow pavement for those looking for a little fresh air.
How to Get There
Either take a flight from Stansted Airport directly to Zadar (there are around nine a week), or alternatively fly to the busier Zagreb Airport and take a connecting flight to Zadar Airport (with the connection, it takes around six hours).
Make sure you book a Shuttle Direct airport transfer online before you set off so that you and your mates won’t have to worry about organizing taxis or buses when you arrive at Zadar airport.
If there is a big group of you it may be cheapest to share a group transfer for the 20-minute drive into town. If there are fewer of you, you could consider a shared group transfer, which can work out considerably cheaper than a local taxi.
