Strategy and innovation are the themes as Carriers World celebrates 20 years with world class speaker line-up
(firmenpresse) - London, UK, 12 September 2017 – Carriers World in London will celebrate 20 years in the wholesale spotlight later this month by featuring leading companies and organisations as carriers search for new and disruptive technologies to help them replace declining traditional revenue streams.
From enterprise partnerships to SDN, the impact and potential of IoT and the latest developments in the cloud, Carriers World will show service providers how they can capitalise on innovation and optimise strategies to deliver maximum returns from emerging opportunities. Across a two-day programme, around 80 industry leaders from the wholesale operator, data centre, IPX provider, OTT and MNO communities will have their say on innovation, work being done on pioneering new products and services and – crucially - how all this can be monetised.
“These are challenging times for the wholesale and associated markets but it is also a time of unparalleled opportunity and we are expecting a vibrant and thought provoking two days,” said Total Telecom Managing Director, Rob Chambers.
Among the new opportunities being discussed at the event – which is being staged at the Hilton Tower Bridge Hotel (September 26-27) – will be those brought about by eGaming, CDNs, big data and the emerging digital service providers.
Senior executives presenting include Daniel Kurgan, CEO of BICS, Tom Homer, Managing Director - EMEA at Telstra, Oliver Canter, Associate Director of Verizon and Eduardo Guardincerri, CMO at Telefonica Business Solutions. They are joined by similarly senior executives from companies including Level 3, PCCW Global, Interoute, City Fibre, Deutsche Telekom, EE, Telia Carrier, Orange and Tele2Group.
One of those speakers, Telstra’s Managing Director – EMEA, Tom Homer said: “Digital transformation is a key priority for businesses across all industries. Data consumption is rapidly increasing and this is placing growing demands on networks. These demands will only increase over time.
