KONE has acquired Long Elevator & Machine Co., Inc., an independent elevator
company with operations in St. Louis, Missouri; Gary, Indiana; Peoria, Illinois;
Springfield, Illinois and Chicago, Illinois. This acquisition further improves
KONE's strong position in each of those markets.
Long Elevator and KONE will be combining their operations under the KONE name
during the coming months. "We are thrilled to be adding great new customers and
employees in these markets where KONE has already established strong
capabilities and customer loyalty," says Vance Tang, EVP and Area Director for
KONE Americas.
Long Elevator & Machine Company, established in 1929, is privately owned and is
focused on elevator maintenance, repairs and modernization. They currently
employ 90 people.
Under the capable leadership of Pat, Warren and Mike Long, the company has
consistently grown their elevator maintenance business by delivering good
customer service. "The combined Long - KONE teams welcome the opportunity to
deliver outstanding service to all existing and future customers. We also offer
a warm welcome to the new team members from Long Elevator who will be joining
KONE through this acquisition," Tang concludes.
