Sales growth RoodMicrotec continues in first half 2011

The provisional sales of ? 8.634 million for the first half of 2011 constituted
a significant 17.8% increase compared to the first half of 2010 (HY1 2010: ?
7.328 million) at a provisional gross margin of approx. 80% (HY1 2010: 75%).
Test Engineering recorded the strongest growth at 46.4%. The business units
Test, Supply Chain Management and Failure & Technology Analysis grew by
18.3%, 19.6% and 17.3% respectively. The business unit Qualification &
Reliability Investigation showed limited growth (5.1%).
There was growth in all our service sectors. Growth continued steadily both for
new product developments and recurring contracts in industry, medical, space and
aeronautical and other sectors. New product developments in particular resulted
in considerable growth of our engineering activities.

Outlook
Based on the developments in the first half of 2011 we anticipate, in spite of
the macro-economic slowdown and uncertainty, and barring unforeseen
circumstances, an increase of sales in the second half of 2011 compared to the
second half of 2010. In line with our strategy we are focusing strongly on
improving the operating result and net result.
In the long term, we consider an average annual sales increase of between 5% and
15% to be realistic.
