Olin Brass awards contract to QuinLogic for an innovative Quality Assurance System
(PresseBox) - Olin Brass, a leading manufacturer and converter of copper and copper-alloy sheet, strip, foil, tube and fabricated components in North America, has appointed the company QuinLogic to implement a state-of-the-art QES quality management system for two processing lines at their East Alton facility. The project goal is to implement an improved mapping, flagging and slitting solution, with focus on yield optimization
The new quality management system will leverage the use of Olin Brass? surface inspection data while at the same time creating a unified data landscape for the company. The integration of all quality relevant product and process data on one screen will also enable Olin Brass to automate the coil release process.
The project includes the conversion of time-to-position based data and material tracking as a prerequisite for the qualification of vision inspected coils.
