SFC Energy receives major order of the Federal BAAINBw defense office in the total order amount of EUR 3.6 million in December 2017, representing the biggest single order in company history.
With this order, SFC Energy further expands international market leadership in autonomous energy solutions for defense applications.
SFC Energy AG (F3C:DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading provider of hybrid power solutions to the stationary and mobile power generation markets, received a major order from the BAAINBw in December 2017, which is responsible for the procurement of all Bundeswehr material. The total order amount is EUR 3.6 million. The order represents the biggest single order in company history.
After first deployment of SFC fuel cells with the Bundeswehr in 2010, the BAAINBw is now equipping additional Bundeswehr units with SFC Energy?s proven portable Energy Network.
The SFC Energy Network is an innovative, fully integrated power solution. It consists of the portable JENNY fuel cell, the SFC Power Manager, a specialized hybrid battery, a solar panel, and various accessories. The flexible high performance power supply enables operation of various consumers, e.g. radios, navigational equipment, night-vision equipment, laser range-finders, portable computers, and PDAs - when stationary and on the march.
In operation the SFC Energy Network features decisive benefits: It enables weight savings of up to 80 percent compared to conventional power solutions. With the SFC Power Manager, an intelligent voltage converter, almost any device can be flexibly powered from any available source, e.g. fuel cell, solar panel or battery. Different battery types can be charged on the move. Power supply and energy management are fully automatic, virtually silent, emission-free, and almost undetectable.
