One of the great joys of a skiing holiday is the chance to get back to nature: just you, the snow, the vast skies and the sublime mountains. Le Chalet takes that natural, salt-of-the-earth philosophy and translates it into simple yet stunning food.
2.Le Panoramic
If you’re after something a touch more dramatic, then take the funicular up to the top of the Grande Motte (the glacier which obligingly allows Tignes to offer year-round skiing). Up here, on top of the world, you’ll find the aptly-named restaurant, Le Panoramic.

Reassuring, hearty mains like burgers garnished with foie gras jostle for attention alongside an excellent fondue, that favourite of the hungry skier.
