Museum Professionals and Friends of Museums may now also register Museum-Domains

(PresseBox) - The policies of Museum-Domains have been changed since 18 April 2018.

Not only museums, but all people with an interest in or link to the profession and museum work in general, including curators, museum fans may register Museum-Domains.

A .museum domain name has had to reflect the name of the Museum according to the policies.

Since 18 April 2018 museums can register generic museum-domains like naturalhistory.museum.

It is on the basis of "first comes, first serves" .

Domainregistry.de pre-registers orders for generic Museum-Domains.

New domain names at the third level like specific.generic.museum are not offered anymore. The third level Museum-Domains, which exist, survive
