Oliver Friz takes over as Managing Director
New CEO Europe by Messer Cutting Systems
(PresseBox) - The demands in the plate processing branch are continuously rising. With medium and long term projects in all parts of its product portfolio and themes relevant to Industry 4.0, Messer Cutting Systems (MCS) GmbH wants to extend its position as market leader still further. Amongst other measures taken to ensure success in this, Dipl. Ing. Oliver Friz has joined Messer Cutting Systems GmbH as Managing Director on April 1st, 2018.
Oliver Friz succeeds John Emholz, who, alongside his duties as President & CEO of the Messer Cutting Systems Group, had, as an interim measure, led the businesses in Europe since July 2017. With his appointment Friz now takes over responsibility for Messer Cutting Systems GmbH Europa with the company headquarters in Groß-Umstadt, the Service Centre in Essen and the European national companies of Messer Cutting Systems GmbH.
Combined competencies at a high level
After completing his engineering studies with a diploma and obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Oliver Friz worked at a medium sized engineering company. His career there progressed from Sales Engineer through Sales Manager to finish as Managing Director. Over the years he gained much further experience in various management positions, including at ARKU Maschinenbau GmbH. The connection to Messer Cutting-business fields came from his position as Divisional Manager in der Bystronic group and as Managing Director of Bystronic Germany.
