A super-tight seal and the highest material quality? New plugs and sockets for commercial vehicles

Reliable and durable thanks to the highest IP69K protection rating

(PresseBox) - The new 7-pin 24 V plugs and sockets are designed for continuous operation. This makes any commercial-vehicle application possible: from general freight transport to construction vehicles. Both items feature flat plug-in connectors with a socket width of 6.3 mm. The waterproofing of the connection area in the lamellar cap was previously unheard of on the market for this type of plug connection and corresponds to protection rating IP69K. In other words, they are completely dust-proof and offer protection against high-intensity water jets, such as may be generated by pressure washers. For the plugs, this protection even extends to when they are not plugged in and is achieved through the use of individual contacts with O-rings, the lamellar cap with O-ring and the screwed cable gland.

Plug

The plug is made of GRP (glass-fibre-reinforced plastic). The improved plugs satisfy standard ISO 1185 for article no. 51305595 and standard ISO 3731 for article no. 51305596. The robust and flexible anti-kink protection ensures that the connected cables have the most flexible bending range and guarantees a long useful life for the product.

Sockets

The housing, which is also made of GRP, features a shatter-proof plastic lid equipped with a seal. The improved material quality allows for a reinforced mounting flange featuring metal bushes, which prevents the connector from being accidentally pulled out and ensures that the socket maintains its firm connection.

The sensibly routed cables, the high material quality and the excellent sealing all account for the corresponding durability of the plugs and sockets.
