(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 08/22/11 -- The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today announced the apprehension of three individuals listed on the CBSA "Wanted" list for criminality.

Xun Zhang was apprehended by the CBSA on August 18 in Richmond, British Columbia and is now in CBSA custody. Zhang is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality for being convicted of trafficking in narcotics. In addition, Zhang has been convicted of assault, robbery, theft and conspiracy to produce a controlled substance.

Reginald George King was apprehended by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on August 19 in Walford, Ontario and is now in CBSA custody. King is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality for being convicted of trafficking in a controlled substance. In addition, King has been convicted of assault with a weapon, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm and possession of a weapon.

Walter Ernesto Guzman turned himself in at the Service de police de la Ville de Montreal Operations Centre East on August 19 and is now in CBSA custody. Guzman is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality for being convicted of trafficking in an illegal substance. In addition, Guzman has been convicted of assault, break and enter and commit indictable offence, conspiracy and uttering threats.

The CBSA also announced the removal from Canada of an individual suspected of being complicit in war crimes or crimes against humanity. Cesar Amilcar Chavarria Padilla, from Guatemala, turned himself in at the Greater Toronto Enforcement Centre on the morning of August 2. Chavarria Padilla had been in CBSA custody since his apprehension.

This update follows the announcement on August 18, 2011, by the Honourable Vic Toews, Minister of Public Safety; Candice Hoeppner, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Safety; Chris Alexander, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence; and Luc Portelance, President of the Canada Border Services Agency, urging Canadians to help identify 32 individuals listed on the CBSA Web site who have failed to comply with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and have criminal convictions in Canada.





Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the Web site. Any information on the whereabouts of these wanted individuals should be reported to the CBSA Border Watch Line at 1-888-502-9060.
