Built-in Wi-Fi, NFC, 3G/4G LTE, and Bluetooth 4.1 technologies provide enhanced connectivity for rapid data acquisition, high-speed transmissions, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and real-time communication with backend systems. The 10.1? WUXGA LED display with scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 supports multi-touch PCAP control as well as gloved operation. Meanwhile, the screen?s 1920 x 1200 resolution and 1000cd/m2 brightness ensures readability in direct sunlight to support outdoor applications. Designed for operation in harsh industrial environments, the tablet?s lightweight (1.4 kg) yet rugged design features a wide operating temperature range (-20 ~ 50 °C), IP65 rating for protection from water and dust ingress, and 4-foot drop tolerance. Additionally, to ensure convenient and flexible use, PWS-872 has a swappable external battery that provides up to 11 hours of continuous operation and five additional programmable PCAP hot keys that allow for easy program execution and parameter setting, as well as combo key functionality. Moreover, PWS-872 can be integrated with a wide range of peripheral modules and accessories, including a vehicle docking station, VESA mount dock, multi-bay battery charger, universal cover, UHF RFID reader, and RJ45+COM+USB3.0 module.

To satisfy the demands of a wide range of industrial applications, PWS-872 is equipped with a 7th generation Intel® Core? i3/i5/i7/Celeron® processor with integrated graphics and turbo boost technology, as well as Microsoft?s Windows 10 IoT Enterprise (64 bit) operating system for enhanced computing. Compared to 6th Gen processors, 7th Gen Intel® processors offer a 15% increase in CPU efficiency. Thus, PWS-872 offers superior performance than the previous PWS-870 model at a more attractive price point.
Rugged industrial-grade design for diverse applications
The PWS-872?s rugged design and industrial-grade components provide the durability to withstand harsh industrial operations and extreme field environments. The sunlightreadable, multi-touch PCAP 10.1? WUXGA LED display features a Gorilla® Glass 3 surface that is resistant to scratches and drop damage, yet offers excellent optical clarity and touch sensitivity. In addition to 4-ft. drop tolerance, PWS-872 is MIL-STD-810G certified for shock and vibration resistance and IP65 rated for protection from water and dust ingress, making it extra resilient to the constant vibrations of a moving forklift, large impacts, and/or rough handling associated with demanding industrial applications.
