DFCB Announces September 2nd Application Deadline for Digital Forensics Certified Practitioner Designation
(firmenpresse) - ORLANDO, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 08/22/11 -- The Digital Forensics Certification Board (DFCB), an independent certifications organization for digital evidence examiners, today announced that its next application deadline for its Digital Forensics Certified Practitioner (DFCP) designation is September 2, 2011.
The DFCB currently accepts applications four times a year. To obtain detailed certification information and to apply, visit .
Through the DFCP designation, the DFCB is committed to providing an independent, highly respected certification process for digital examiners. The DFCP designation is only available to digital evidence professionals with a strict minimum of five years of experience related to digital evidence or digital forensics.
Those seeking the DFCP designation must reside in the United States, demonstrate two or more years of practical experience in the last three years, pass the DFCP exam, and meet other requirements.
The Digital Forensics Certification Board is a member-driven, non-profit, vendor-independent organization of the National Center for Forensic Science at the University of Central Florida, sponsored in part through a grant from the National Institute of Justice. DFCB was founded to provide, among other things, an objective certification in digital forensics in order to promote trust and confidence in the digital forensics profession. The Board currently offers professional certification for digital evidence examiners called the Digital Forensics Certified Practitioner (DFCP).
