This linkage between a global and intermodal logistics provider and a shipping company with a focus on renewable energies is quite remarkable. According to Bernhard Messer, Managing Director of the OPUS Group, "The chances arising from this partnership are huge. Not only can we deliver the complete logistics chain from one and the same source, e.g. ranging from spare parts from the manufacturer to the offshore wind turbine, but storage and building management of the wind farm operators through to turnkey solutions for a safe and reliable overall operation of wind farms are now also possible."
Together, the companies shall continue to expand the business sector of renewable energies, thus catering for integrated overall solutions in demand, without requiring a complex interface management. To achieve this, one important component will be the operation and further expansion of the fleet of vessels and another the implementation of the services offered by the Zeitfracht Group, now pooled in one mutual portfolio. "The harmonizing strengths of both partners perfectly complement each other and offer our clients added value by streamlining the supply chains," remarks Wolfram Simon-Schröter, Head of Zeitfracht.
