(firmenpresse) - STUDIO CITY, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/22/11 -- Tix Corporation (the "Company" or "Tix") (OTCQX: TIXC) (PINKSHEETS: TIXC), a leading entertainment company providing discount ticketing services and branded event merchandising, today announced that its 2011 annual meeting of stockholders (the "Annual Meeting") will be held at 10:00 A.M., local time, on September 2, 2011, at Sportsmen's Lodge Events Center, 12833 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City, California 91604. As previously announced, stockholders of record as of the close of business on July 6, 2011, will be entitled to notice of and to vote at the Annual Meeting or any adjournments or postponements thereof.
The notice announcing the Annual Meeting, the proxy statement setting forth the matters to be considered at the Annual Meeting and the annual report to stockholders will be available online at . If you are a stockholder and whether or not you plan to attend the Annual Meeting in person, please vote as promptly as possible by submitting your proxy by telephone or over the Internet or by marking, signing, dating and mailing the proxy card enclosed with the proxy statement that you receive by mail, in order to be certain your shares are represented at the Annual Meeting.
Tix Corporation is an entertainment company providing discount ticketing services and branded event merchandising. It currently operates eleven discount ticket stores in Las Vegas under the Tix4Tonight marquee, which offer up to a 50 percent discount for same-day shows, concerts, attractions and sporting events, as well as reservations for discount dining. The Company is also engaged in branded merchandise development and sales activities related to museum exhibitions and other events, including the King Tutankhamun, Cleopatra and Real Pirates tours as well as selling themed souvenir memorabilia and collectors items in specialty stores in conjunction with the specific events and venues.
